PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT
"The photographer's creative mind, not the camera, makes a good shot".
This motto has always inspired me, and allowed me to focus on the desired results by using the available equipment. I worked for many years with a Nikon FM2 camera and three lenses, without wishing for anything more.
Technology improvements caused a change of equipment, but always with the concept of the equipment depending from the photographer, and not the other way around.
At present, I use two digital bodies: a Nikon D300, and an old Fuji S2 as backup. Since for particular tasks (e.g. reproductions) I use traditional photography, I still own a good Nikon FM2 and a Nikon F100.
I use several lenses, ranging from 10.5 to 300 mm., mostly fixed, but with a couple of zooms for practical reasons.
For lightning I use two Nikon SB800 and one SB26 speedlights; for more serious studio work I use four Bowens flashes (400 and 800 W/s) and two Ianiro 800W continuos lights, with umbrellas, softbox and reflectors.
The hidden dream? A Hasselblad digital back!
